Puppies
Puppies may start on Blue Seal EnTrust at around four to five weeks of age. You may feed it dry, but moistening may enhance acceptance. If desired, self-feeding may be started at any age after weaning. If puppies are not self-feeding, but on a schedule, feed them three times per day up to six months of age and two times per day from six months to one year of age.
Adult Dogs
The Suggested Feeding Guidelines are general feeding recommendations. A dog’s nutritional needs vary according to its breed, age, activity level, individual metabolism and environment. Start with the recommended amount and then adjust the amount of feed to obtain or maintain your dog’s optimum weight.
Pregnant Females
Using the Suggested Feeding Guide, offer 50% more food during pregnancy.
Lactating Females
Using the Suggested Feeding Guide, offer two to three times the normal amount of food.
Introducing a New Dog Food
To avoid dietary upset when introducing your pet to a new food, switch to the new food over the course of a week by gradually decreasing the old food and increasing the new. Provide plenty of clean, fresh water at all times.
